I conduct studies on the teaching and learning of physics at the college level. My dissertation research was carried out at the University of Washington where I earned a Ph.D. in physics (2001). Most of my research involves introductory physics topics in mechanics. I have also been involved with the development of research-based curricula for introductory physics at the University of Washington and at Buffalo State College.
